InstantGrouping.com is a free random group generator. Add your class or team list, choose a group size, press one button — and fair groups appear in seconds, complete with a countdown timer to keep the activity on track.
Making groups is a daily classroom moment that can eat up precious minutes — and cause grumbles about who ended up with whom. Instant Grouping removes the debate: the shuffling is provably random, the result is instant, and everyone can see it happen on the screen. No arguments, no favorites.
Your list never leaves your device. Names you paste or import from Excel are processed entirely in your web browser — nothing is uploaded or stored on our servers. Groups are shuffled using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, so every arrangement is genuinely random.
No registration, no setup — open the site and start. The core tools are free, supported by gentle advertising; optional upgrade packs for advanced learning and teaching tools are on the way, and our earliest supporters will always get the friendliest offer.
